Gander Memorial services at Fort Campbell and Hopkinsville Kentucky

I got to go to the annual memorial services this year at Fort Campbell and in Hopkinsville Kentucky. Back in 1985 my youngest brother was killed in a plane crash along with 247 other soldiers. This makes me a member of a Gold Star Family. As you can imagine this event was a life changing event for me and my family as well as the family members of all the soldiers.

If you have lost a loved one in the military you know exactly what I am talking about. I thought I would share this part of my life with my blogging comrades because this event in my life is part of who I am, it was a defining moment in my life so to speak.

I am not going to write a big post just share some pictures so you can get the mental picture of how our military honors those lost in service to our country.

There was also a memorial service held in Gander where the plain crashed.

I am very thankful that my brothers death is still being remembered each year and his service honored with these memorial services.
